Rock on James Settlemeyer! This post is a bit dated beyond the original news story that was widely circulated, but the State Senator’s actions are laudable nonetheless.
Any rational thing like this that sends a message to the “PTB” (a reference to the Powers That Be used the old vampire TV series “Angel”) is a good thing. “Hey, we’re fed up and we’re not going to take it anymore, Washington”. But I guess we are going to take it.
Most Americans feel it’s a great thing for the federal government to take over under the ruse of fixing everyone’s lives. And what thinking skills do people even have left after decades of being dumbed down and pressed down into the collectivist and socialistic worldview. Who even knows anything else is possible these days?
Jaded? Guilty, I confess. I hope I snap out of it, but I’m still depressed over the November election.
